How to Get 20 Minutes Each Day to Yourself

Updated: Jun 29, 2021

I hear you mama.

Over and over again you answer the question of what's stopping you from doing something for yourself as "no time".

You don't even have a moment to hear your own thoughts much less try to actually do something for self care or personal growth.

So I am going to teach you, right here, right now, how you can create space in your day.

{ Hey you! Yea you over there who has a pretty quiet house... Keep reading! There's something important you need to know! }

~ Treat Time! ~

Treat Time is an Empowered Motherhood Mindset Tool. The purpose of this Mindset Tool is for you to have at least 20 minutes everyday that you give your brain some space to process.

No matter if you've got 12 kids home all day and you're homeschooling, farming, and building a powerful online business, or if your little human leave for school in the morning and you love getting to be the creator of your home!

The truth is that you feed your brain a lot! Music, books, podcasts, videos, tv, projects, work, kids, family, to-do lists... So this is the time that you give your brain to process all you've fed it, and choose to use the things that nourish it and release the things that don't.

This mindset tool is what you will place inside of a PAM (Personal Aromatherapy Method) that you create. This one is a 2 fold PAM:

  • 1 for you

  • 2 for your kids

Depending on what point in your rhythm, and how old your kiddos are, you will make a choice of what their treat time looks like.

{ You there, you kept reading! This is what I wanted you to see! }

Our Treat Time is our 4pm-ish PAM! We come together, we use essential oils, and a combination of affirmations, declarations, and intentions to acknowledge the day we just completed, practice gratitude and release it. Then we set intentions of relaxing, and living graciously and harmoniously with each other as we step into the rest of the evening.

While we speak life and use aromatherapy, we inhale deeply - remove all the stagnant air, and we stretch. This helps to circulate the blood, helps the body to relax, and calms the mind.

Then we get everyone snacks and set an alarm for Treat Time. The kiddos get to choose between a TV show or playtime. I go to my room and spend this time in the quiet.

Remember, Treat Time for you mama is for you to give your brain time to process and function!
