3 Essential Oils for Assessment & Observation

Have you ever smelled something that immediately took you back to another place and time?

In that moment, you are filled with emotions revolving around that memory. For me, the smell of aftershave and a pipe can remind me of my great-grandpa and fill me with emotions of love and happiness.

Earlier this week we talked about the 1st Phase in the Empowered Motherhood Cycle, Assess. So today we are going to chat about how aromatherapy helps with this.

The limbic system is responsible for these experiences of memory and emotions. The sense of smell is one of the only ways to reach the limbic system. Your limbic system is the area of your brain that is concerned with instinct and mood. It controls the basic emotions (fear, pleasure, anger) and drives (hunger, dominance, care of offspring). 1

Take a moment and reflect on the work you did Monday. Do you remember those emotions and even those drives that influenced your actions in those moments of overwhelm?

Essential oils have added to lives for thousands of years. They offer a variety of benefits from cosmetic and dietary purposes to spiritual and religious use.

When an essential oil is extracted properly through careful steam distillation, resin tapping, and cold pressing, you are left with the "lifeblood" of the plant. The purest essential oils are far more powerful than the botanicals from which they come. Any time you hold a bottle of high quality and 100% pure essential oils, you hold nature's pure essence. 2

Our signature PAM system will assist you as you journey through each of these phases and live your days Empowered.
