Make Your Moments Matter

Updated: Jun 28, 2021

Mama, you are amazing! Take a moment and hear me saying to you, YOU ARE AMAZING!

Being a mom can be so overwhelming sometimes! Relentless even.

• Busy running kids all over the place.

• There's ALWAYS something to be done.

• The monotony kills me!

• Frustrated, why can't he help?

• They don’t appreciate me.

• This is just the way life is.

But what if it's not?

Each moment is a gift.

Don't Waste Another Moment

So many moments are wasted because we are focused on the wrong things. The to do list, the burden of our responsibilities, the overwhelm we are feeling, trying to escape the chaos in our head that is constantly spilling over into our emotions and actions. What do you find yourself focusing on the most?

We aren’t able to live the life we dream of living because we are trapped in the one we are currently living in. You constantly give to and for everyone else - the kids, husband, even the dogs. When do you take a moment for yourself and really strengthen your inner self?

You're Not Alone

I know what it's like to get so frustrated in the constant things of motherhood. You're not alone in that. There is this feeling of relentless, ongoing, monotonous, exhausting… In that frustration, thoughts get away from you. Then those feelings start pouring in... not good enough, broken, unworthy, why did I even get married and have kids?!...

The truth is mama, no matter how bad it gets in those moments you love your family! Your mind gets used to thinking that way and it takes away from the moments that matter. And I get it, not all days are bad. Not all moments are bad. You have those moments that you love and cherish, those moments that are full of gratitude and joy. We are here to learn how to create more of those moments. We are here to create our Empowered Motherhood and live a life full of the moments we desire to live. Moments fueled by Jesus, oils, and coffee!

So how do we do that?

Intention setting is one of the ways that we get to choose the focus of our moments. I am here today to give you an extra special gift! I want to share with you one of the things I teach my clients.

Moments Matter Mindset Tool

There are 6 steps in this process and I am going to walk you through all of them! So take notes and enjoy a bit of this Empowered Motherhood coaching!

Step 1

Take a moment and begin to think about that perfect picture you carry in your mind about what your life should be like. Write it down in the perfect picture space. Use as much detail as you can imagine.

Step 2

Then, mark through that perfect picture and release it to God. There was only one perfect man. You can also identify the beliefs that are revealed in that exercise and use the Belief Flow to re-write them.

The next step of this is to write your purposed conviction that is within your heart. Write what you really feel is the true purpose for your life. Include all the areas of life, all 7 of the Empowered Motherhood Priorities.

Step 3

Write your intentions. Keep that purposed conviction in mind, and then use one word to write your intention for each of your 7 Empowered Motherhood Priorities.

  1. Salvation

  2. Worth

  3. Family

  4. Business/Work

  5. Finances

  6. Social

  7. Home

Step 4

Set your goals. You get to use your intentions to inform your goals. It's always nice to set a goal for 1 year out. It's measurable, realistic in your mind, and you can imagine it being this time next year. (To get help setting your goals go to step 5)

Step 5

In this step you set SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Accountable, Realistic, and Time-bound. I have given you the layout that you need to work through this process. Start with your year goal. Then grab some of your Empowered Actions from the 1 year goal and use those to create quarterly goals. Use your quarterly goals to do the same for monthly, and monthly for weekly.

Step 6

Sign your declaration. This declaration was taken from Napoleon Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich. This is something that you will use like an affirmation. Speaking declarations out to yourself the same as affirmations help you to believe them to be true just the same. If you want more information on affirmations, check out this blog post.

The final part of this step is to work your Empowered Tasks into your Rhythm Refinement. There are some other Happy Mom Hacks that I use in my coaching to help with that. You can do it yourself with the Rhythm Refinement Guidebook.
