Pull The Trigger on Your Emotions

What makes you pull the trigger?

We all have tiggers in our life. Things that cause us to react.

Are you ready to pull the trigger on your emotions and set up positive triggers throughout your day?! The key to making it to Happy Town and staying there is to have more good triggers than bad. This is where intention comes in to play. "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down” Proverbs 14:1

We all have things that when they are heard, seen, felt, and smelt trigger a variety of emotions and thoughts. Some are good and some are bad.

Set Your Intentions Setting your intentions helps to ground you. This literally means that you have something to hold on to in order to remain stable.

I’m an okie (a person from Oklahoma haha) and we have tornados. Twister is the name of a movie made in the 90’s and in one of the scenes, **spoiler alert** these two people find themselves about to be sucked up by this GIANT tornado. They run to a barn, you could only guess that it’s full of a lot of very dangerous items… (can someone please get me some emoji’s?!?! haha) Anyway…. at the last minute they find some sort of pipe sticking up from the ground and they use a leather strap and tie themselves to it. The giant tornado is uprooting and destroying everything around them. Sending everything flying. There’s nothing left. But they make it because they were grounded. Our emotions, if left to run wild, will become tornadoes inside of us. And if we don’t set up positive triggers to ground ourselves. We won’t survive. Today, I have a job for you. Think of 3 positive triggers you can set up.

Then make sure you go to Empowered Motherhood Facebook Group and post in the group and tell us what your positive triggers are!

ProTip: Make it easy! A sign on the wall, a doorway that you walk through, the sound of one of your children. For more details on how to set up a trigger the right way, schedule a call with me!
