The Narratives of Faith

Updated: Sep 2, 2021

There are so many narratives in our lives, and our faith narrative is one Of the most important.

There are so many narratives about God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Christianity, miracles, and the Bible.

Have you identified yours?

Take a moment, leta go through a couple journal prompts together.

  1. God is…

  2. God _______ do powerful things in my life.

  3. I live my faith out loud when I…

Alright, how was it? How did you feel while journaling? Was there pressure to get it right? Or were the answers just there on your soul’s surface because you learned those answers in church so many years ago? Did you feel your souls dive deep, excitedly searching? Or did you feel nervous, maybe even afraid? Explore those feelings.

Schedule a Belief Flow for a guided journey through those feelings and journal prompts.

There is a narrative that we tend to carry when we encounter opposition, those moments where it rains on the just and the unjust alike. ( Matthew 5:45 ) This narrative can go one of two ways:

God has left me! or The enemy is attacking me!

The issue is that both of these narratives either removes God completely or makes the enemy’s attacks larger that God’s protection!

So I ask again, what is your narrative about our God, about faith, and your life in faith?

Grab your Bible and do some scripture study on the true narratives that come from the word about these circumstances. Comment below with your finding it go to our Facebook community and share what you’ve found!
